week 2 rest home

today at the rest home we were again greeted by a lovely lady and had interdruse are self to the people we didn't know. then I had helped hand out the plates then they were given some cream lamingtons and tea and we were given TO BE CONTINUED

the three Rs

  • What animals keep our jackets warm? sheep plants silkworms
  • What animal makes our boots waterproof? cows
  • Where does the water in our rivers come from? rain snow
  • Why do we need healthy rivers? so we can have healthy drinking water
  • What are some of the good things about mosquitoes? they clean the water and pollinate the flowers
  • Why are bees dying?  phone towers, predators disease
  • What do bugs do to our leaves
  • Reuse means to use something over and over again
  • Reduce means to cut back on not sustainable stuff
  • Recycle means to make something out of another thing 
  • How much dung would we be in if there were no dung decomposers? 7ft  2.1336m, 84 inches
  • Who runs this planet? Me myself and I. People.

Rest home visit


Today for the community we walked down to the rest home and we were greeted nicely by a lovely lady and she had to introduce us to the ladies and gentlemen. then we sat at a table and the elderly Got some scones and then we got given some lime juice and biscuits as had chatted about sport, food, the weekend and school.

I would recommend going to a rest home and I will be going back next week.

science day 1

Science will be twice per week.

  • Lesson 1: This will be an Experiment that involves blogging. You will be expected to open a new post, copy Mr. Palmer's blog and paste it on your new post.
  • Lesson 2: This will be an Investigation that relates to the topic of Lesson 1. It will be own choice and displayed in a way that you prefer. For example - PowerPoint, Doc, etc

Expectations:
  • 1 blog must be completed per Hurumanu lesson.
  • A completed blog must have the four headings ( Aim, Method, Findings, Conclusion), correct writing and punctuation under each heading and be published. No post, no points.
  • 2 images of the experiment/investigation on the blog.
Using the Scientific method of investigation:

Aim: What the experiment/investigation is about.
Method: Instructions on how the experiment/investigation is carried out. This includes the equipment.
Findings: What have we learned or found out from our experiment/investigation. This is called Data, Information or Facts. It is displayed in a chart, table or picture.
